Duke of Wellington at the Royal Exchange
Cast from French cannon captured at Waterloo, Wellington rides stirrupless and bareheaded in front of the Royal Exchange — a thank-you from the City for his help pushing the rebuilding of London Bridge through Parliament. Chantrey died before it was finished; his assistant completed the casting.
